Lady Lake teen arrested after traffic stop near entrance to Village of Glenbrook

A Lady Lake teen was arrested Monday night after a traffic stop near the entrance to Village of Glenbrook.

Austin Allen Ford, 19, had been driving a blue Nissan Sentra at 8:17 p.m. on Buena Vista Boulevard at Talley Ridge Drive, traveling 54 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

When the deputy approached Ford’s vehicle, the strong odor of marijuana was detected. A metal container was discovered in the vehicle with about 30 grams of marijuana.

He was arrested on a felony charge of marijuana possession and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $2,000.
