Lady Lake woman arrested on charge of welfare fraud

A 53-year-old Lady Lake woman has been arrested on a warrant charging her with welfare fraud.

Lori Ann Sheer was taken into custody at 10:34 p.m. Monday at her home on West End Street in Lady Lake by Lake County sheriff’s deputies.

Sheer is charged with receiving welfare/food stamps from April 1, 2015 to Jan. 31, 2016 to which she was not entitled, according to information from State Attorney Brad King’s office.

She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,000 bond. She is due for arraignment June 19 in Lake County Court.
