Laura Jean Birklund (Rietz), 81, of The Villages, Florida, passed away September 19, 2014.
Born July 8, 1933 in Berwyn, IL. Married December 24, 1954 in St. Joseph, MI.
She was the Soloist at the First Church of Christ Scientist in Downers Grove, IL.
She was the Administrative Assistant to the Head Librarian at the Downers Grove Public Library. Retired to The Villages, FL in May 1999.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years Roy Birklund, her son Rodd & wife Sherri, her daughter Susan, and her three grandchildren Sara, Eric, and Jackson.
