Lead driver at Flippers Pizzeria jailed after caught with wrong license plate on new vehicle

Samantha Senn

The lead driver at Flippers Pizzeria at Grand Traverse Plaza was jailed after she was caught driving a vehicle with the wrong license plate.

Samantha Leigh Senn, 26, of Inverness, at about 9 a.m. Thursday had been driving a gold Nissan Maxima eastbound on State Road 44 near Powell Road when she was pulled over by a Wildwood police officer.

The officer ran the Maxima’s Ohio license plate and learned it belonged on a 2002 black Ford passenger car.

Senn said she had recently purchased the Maxima and had not yet registered it. She said she had pulled the license plate from her 2002 Ford and put it on the Maxima, according to the arrest report.

She was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving an unregistered vehicle and issued a written warning for attaching a tag not assigned to a vehicle.

She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $500.

She was allowed to leave the Nissan Maxima at her place of employment in The Villages, the report noted.
