Leo James Mercier, 81, of Wildwood, FL passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015. Mr. Mercier was born in Manchester, NH, June 18, 1933 to the late Armand and Albertine (Paquette) Mercier. He was a retired plumbing and heating specialist, moving to Central Florida in 2004 from Manchester, NH. He most recently worked at the Wal-Mart Package Store in Oxford, FL. Leo enjoyed woodworking, dancing and kidding around with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 7 years, Joann Westemeier; sons, Kenneth Mercier and Daniel Mercier; sisters, Doris Langivin, Irene Kane and Jeanne Axelrod; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Leo was preceded in death by his daughter, Lorraine Leal. Visitation will be held from 4 – 6 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015 in the Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home, 410 Webster St., Wildwood, FL. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Leo’s name to the American Legion Post 18, P.O. Box 1502, Wildwood, FL 34785.
