Leonard ‘Lee’ Bucell

Leonard “Lee” Bucell, 85, of The Villages, FL, and a resident of Providence Independent Living Facility, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016. Leonard was born on January 3, 1931 in New York City. He was a member of Fairway Christian Church in The Villages. Leonard also enjoyed playing tennis and softball.

Survivors include wife of 61 years Joan Bucell; son Ron Bucell (Natalia); daughter Nancy Lee Schwarzhoff (Dan); grandchildren Daniel, Kristen, Michael and Ashley; brother Ben Bucell; and sister Cathy Arsenault (Dick).

He is preceded in death by his parents Nicolo and Catherine Buccellato; brother Nicholas Bucellato.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 2 – 4 p.m. with a service to follow at 4 p.m., located at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL 32159. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 11 a.m., located at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1901 County Road 25A, Leesburg, FL 34748.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, www.cshospice.org.
