Let’s get real when it comes to trolls

To the Editor:

Let’s get real.
Why is it that the CDD managers will waste timemresponding to anonymous reports, (20,000 + since 2013),nregarding decorative yard ornaments and ignore the fact that many homes have yards that are “overgrown” with vegetation but can somehow be deemed acceptable as “Florida Friendly.”
We moved to The Villages, “Florida’s Friendliest Hometown,” (HA!) for an independent lifestyle and a place to call home during our retirement years. We knew that The Villages home construction resembled that of the “Stepford Wives” community with similar construction plans for all houses. That’s OK….we knew that upfront. Please don’t let a few coward “Trolls” take away what little personalization we have left to make our Village home a “Home Away From Home.” Being in “compliance” is one thing, taking away one’s ability to add something to their landscaping that gives their property that personal touch is absurd.
