To the Editor:
Ms. Grewe is continually calling for one party (Democrat) rule. Remember the Democrat operative who said that “We will be ready to rule on inauguration day (2008)”. What happened when that party took control of Congress in 2007?
According to the BLS today, total non-farm employment as of January 2007 was 137,448,000. When Obama was inaugurated in Jan 2009, employment was 138,365,000. From that day until the Democrats lost control of the House of Reps (not Congress) to the Republicans in Jan 2011, employment fell to 129,705,000. As of today’s report, with Republicans controlling the House (not Congress), employment is up to 139,004,000. Looks to me as tho Republican control of the House (not Congress) may have contributed to the gain of the 10,000,000 that were lost while the Democrats had one party rule.
