Letter to the Editor: Our deepest thanks

To the Editor:

We want to thank everyone who helped us raise funds for the Sumter County Sheriff’s Charity, “Kids, Cops, and Christmas” events. A special thank you goes out to friends and neighbors who attended the “Kids, Cops, and Christmas” dance November 7th. All who attended had a great time dancing to “The Sixties” band, who provided us with great music. To everyone who attended the charity breakfast held at R. J. Gators Restaurant on Saturday, November 1st and for your donations to Kids, Cops, and Christmas, you have our deepest gratitude. Another thank you goes out to the owner of R. J. Gators restaurant, Dan Graham, the wait staff, and the manager, Kathy Hynes, for hosting the breakfast this year. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Our deepest thanks to all our friends and neighbors who helped serve breakfast at R. J. Gators. Without your help, this event could not have happened, and you are truly patrons of this great community. A special thank you goes out to Lt. Nehemiah Wolfe and his administrative assistant, Theresa Cooper, for without their help, we would be floundering. They are true patriots giving to the community where they work. Also, a thank you goes out to all the deputies who gave of their own time escorting children through Wal-Mart on December 13th. It is extremely heart -warming to see the smiling faces on the children as the deputies accompany them while they make selections for themselves and family members.
