Letter to the Editor: Politics not appropriate at every event

To the Editor:

I recently participated in a Christmas event at a local senior center. Along with caroling, there was a man portraying Santa Claus. He arrived late and was, I guess, explaining why by starting out by bashing “Obama Care”.  (I know…go figure) What would make him think it was appropriate to bring politics into a non political event? It even happened about a year ago at a dinner for veterans who had gone on an Honor Flight. During the speaker’s welcome message, he decided to bash President Obama. Don’t these people have any brains? Did both he and the “Santa” really believe all veterans hate our President? Or the ACA? Sad.
