Letter to the Editor: Slow play takes the joy out of golf

To the Editor:

My 7 friends and myself played a morning round of golf this week at TDS. The course was in great shape though the rough was a little tough. We teed off a little early, just about 8:30. We were hoping for a pleasant day of golf but what we got was a lot off waiting and standing around in the hot sun waiting for the group in front of us to clear. It wasn’t that group’s fault nor was it the group in front of them. Somewhere up ahead a group was playing slower than the pace of play and making a nice day of golf miserable for all the groups behind them. We finished 4hourse and 35 minutes later and not one of us enjoyed the day. I only wish the ambassadors would do their job and move slower groups along so we ALL can enjoy the golf courses and not just one slow group.
