Letter to the Editor: Weather radio did not go off when warning Issued

To the Editor:

I was wondering if other Villagers had a problem with their weather radio not going off when a severe thunderstorm warning was issued this week?  I receive the Sumter County Red Code alert via my cell phone but the weather radio did not do the tone.  I hope we do not have problems again here where the weather radios do not work like in 2007 when the tornados came through The Villages.  Maybe someone can tell me if I am the only one with this problem.  Thanks!
