To the Editor:
While driving east on 466 Friday evening, my husband and I witnessed two near misses in the span of three minutes. In the first, a driver blew through the intersection at Belvedere directly in front of a north-bound fire truck with lights and siren blaring. Thank goodness the fireman was being cautious and avoided a tragedy. The second occurred when an oblivious driver changed lanes, from right to left and almost ran over the car in the left lane. Imagine his surprise when that car he almost hit happened to be a deputy sheriff! At least this driver got pulled over. Hope he or she got a well-deserved ticket. Be careful out there, people. The life you save may be mine.
