Letter to the Editor: Golf cart gate in The Villages

To the Editor:

It has been over a year now that the state started allowing golf carts to cross 441/27 at the main entrance to Spruce Creek South. We welcome those from The Villages and Stonecrest to enter our community via golf cart yet the Villages will not allow our carts in. All of our streets, [SCS & Stonecrest] are private and the residents pay for the upkeep so The Villages can not say they do not want us on their cart paths that they pay for. Isn’t it time to take that gate out and let traffic flow freely again?
