To the Editor:
We provide quality group transportation to clubs, businesses, churches, families and individuals who reside in the Villages. We have provided motor coach service to Village residents for about 12 years. We have made many friends and have been a good neighbor to the groups we serve. Recently we have basically been advised we are no longer welcome to load in the Villages. Clubs who have previously traveled to ball parks, church functions, dinner shows, gardens, cruise and air ports outside of The Villages, have virtually been told, you can not have a bus pick-up and drop in The Villages. One bus can keep 10-20 cars off the highways, reduce emissions, and allow some who are not able to travel to these venues, the chance to go. Somewhere in a community of 120,000 is there no room for a commuter lot- a park and ride lot? Somewhere that buses are allowed to serve the clubs? Will they collect your driver’s license next, to keep you from leaving the Villages? Move on, they say?
