A 51-year-old man was arrested on a felony charge of battery following a dispute with his girlfriend in the Village of Alhambra.

Stephen Vincent Cinquegrano was arrested Thursday night after he allegedly pushed the woman to the ground during a verbal argument, according to the arrest report.

A computer check showed that Cinquegrano has two previous battery convictions in Rhode Island, one in 2001 and one in 2005, the arrest report indicated.

The arrest report also stated that Cinquegrano had been “drinking vodka drinks throughout the day.”

He is being held without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
