Local physician to detail frustration with Obamacare at GOP meeting

Dr. Ray Dominick
Dr. Ray Dominick

A local physician will detail his frustrations with the Affordable Care Act when the The Villages Republican Club of Sumter County meets at Savannah Center.

The club meets at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 28. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Raymond Dominick opened Lake Regional Urgent Care in Leesburg in 2000. Since then the company has grown to three locations with six doctors and 50 employees, as well as an in-house billing operation. Dominick is a New York native who worked mostly in emergency rooms after receiving his medical degree in 1995 from the University of Pittsburgh. The company has averaged about 34,000 visits annually, but Dominick has predicted the number will jump to 52,000 by the end of the year because of the recent opening of the Mount Dora location at 16890 U.S. Highway 441 in the Hobby Lobby shopping plaza.

All Villages Republicans and Independents are welcome to attend. For information, contact Ed Sullivan at 750-0595 or send email to SullivanPres@centurylink.net.
