A local realtor who resides in The Villages was arrested Thursday night after he was spotted speeding on State Road 44 near Brownwood.
Timothy Hamilton Sennett, 59, who resides on Ola Terrace in the Village of Lake Deaton, had been spotted driving at a high rate of speed shortly before 11 p.m., according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
During a traffic stop, a deputy asked Sennett if he had been drinking and he admitted he had. When asked how much he had to drink, he replied, “I don’t know, maybe three or four beers.”
He failed field sobriety exercises and provided breath samples registering .177 and .183 blood alcohol content.
He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released at 6:36 p.m. Friday after posting $1,000 bond.
