Lon James Sauter, 70, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Born in Lowville, NY and was raised in Beaver Falls, NY he was the son of the late Floyd and Vivian (Hall) Sauter.

Lon was a graduate of Onodaga Community College, Syracuse, NY. He was employed by Xerox Corp for twenty-two years as a field manager. During his employment with Xerox Corporation he also owned & operated Lon’s RC Service (for radio controlled model airplanes), and became a license pilot for full size aircraft. Following his employment with Xerox Corp he started The Flight School in Fulton, NY. He then became a pilot examiner employed by the FAA. Lon loved everything aviation and enjoyed flying his own aircraft.

Lon came to The Villages from Corinth, TX in March of this year.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marge (Paulis) Sauter and brothers, Loren & his wife Candace, Jeffrey & his wife Darlene, and David.

Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
