Louise Gold Hensley, age 84, of Summerfield, FL passed away Friday March 31, 2017 at her home. She was born in Ft. Meade, FL and came to Summerfield 7 years ago from Ocala, FL. Louise was a retired cafeteria assistant manager with Pleasant Grove Elementary School, Inverness, FL. Prior to working in the school system, she was the owner/operator of Humpty Dumpty Montessori School and Daycare in West Palm Beach, FL. She also worked side by side with her first husband Rev. Carl O. Gold Sr. pastoring churches around Florida, and founding four churches with her husband. Many knew her as “Momma Gold” because of her caring, loving, and generous spirit.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Rev. Carl O. Gold, Sr.; her second husband: Emmanuel Hensley and her son-in-law: Steven R. Foster.
Survivors include 2 sons: Carl O. Gold, Jr.; Christopher O. (Lizz) Gold; 2 daughters: Amanda L. (Terry) Hensley; Anita L. Foster; brother: Henry C. Bass; sister: Avisell (Glenn) Pridgen; 2 step sons: Dan Hensley; Tim (Susie) Hensley; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Lady Lake, FL on Tuesday April 4, 2017 from 5 to 7pm, funeral service will be at 7pm. Entombment will be on Wednesday April 5, 2017 at 11am at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness,
