Louise Stewart

Louise Stewart, 86, of The Villages, FL, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. She was born in Marietta, Georgia on January 22, 1928, the daughter of Floyd Roberts and Ruby Chapman Roberts. She is survived by her husband, Donald Stewart of Franklin Square, New York, whom she married 60 years ago on April 23, 1955. Louise is also survived by her nine children, 16 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Louise and Donald moved from Long Island, New York to Ramsey New Jersey, where they resided from 1960-71. They moved their family to Middletown, New York in 1971 where they continued to raise their family until 1994, when they moved to The Villages, in Lady Lake, Florida. An avid reader, crossword puzzle enthusiast, as well as a skilled scrabble player, Louise was quiet and reserved on the outside, but highly sophisticated and cerebral on the inside. She chose to show her modest side more often, as she was comfortable with her unpretentious approach to life. Friends and family would describe Louise as caring, giving, and loving-always placing others first. Her life was her family-she gave her all to everyone, expecting little in return-with the exception, perhaps of love. Love was Louise Stewart’s biggest gift. She loved dearly and was loved right back by family and friends. Family attended a funeral mass at St. Timothy Catholic Church in the Villages on Thursday, September 18, 2014. An additional memorial service is planned for the Middletown, New York area.
