M. Ray Waggoner Sr.

M. Ray Waggoner, Sr, age 78, of Lady Lake, FL, died on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 5:35am. He was born in Naylor, MO on February 21, 1939. Ray was raised in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was a graduate of The University of Missouri, School of Journalism. He worked for the Federal Government for 23 years where he retired as Director of Information the Department of Agriculture. He enjoyed golfing and model trains. Ray attended Tri County Baptist Church in Lady Lake, FL.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Kathie Friedewald Waggoner of Lady Lake, FL; son Max R. Waggoner, Jr of Ocala, FL; daughter Susan Boger of Lady Lake, FL; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great grandson Elias Michael Kosiorek.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held at Tri County Baptist Church, Lady Lake, FL on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. Burial will take place privately.
