Man to answer in court after alleged advances toward staffer at The Springs of Lady Lake

A man will have to answer in court after making alleged advances toward a staffer at The Springs of Lady Lake.

Donovan Vincent Fitzger Ho-Yen, 53, who works as a technician for Mobile Ex, has been ordered to appear Jan. 2 in Lake County Court after he was cited for battery as a result of the incident.

Ho-Yen was at the facility on Dec. 7 to take X-rays of some patients when he allegedly made comments to a female staffer about her having a husband or a boyfriend. She said she did not have a husband or a boyfriend.

Ho-Yen then came up behind her and put his hand on her right shoulder, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. He then ran his hand across her back and twisted his finger in the woman’s left ear. He told her he was harmless and she had nothing to worry about.

The woman was crying and “emotionally shaken up,” according to the police report.

A co-worker told police she had heard Ho-Yen asking about a boyfriend or husband and calling the woman “honey.”

Ho-Yen told police everyone was “joking around and being friendly.”
