Man to answer in court after allegedly damaging ex-girlfriend’s car at her place of employment

A man will have to answer in court after allegedly damaging his ex-girlfriend’s car at her place of employment.

Drew Ryan Davis, 23, of Ocala is due in Lake County Court on Oct. 31 to answer to a charge of criminal mischief.

He went on Oct. 12 to Target at Rolling Acres Plaza and was spotted by his ex-girlfriend who was working her shift, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. He allegedly made gestures at her and she notified her manager who ordered Davis out of the store.

When she got off work a few hours later, she went to the parking lot and noticed her car had been moved to a different parking spot. When she found her car, she discovered her front passenger tire was flat and a “Salt Life” decal had been removed from the vehicle. She told police she had given him access to a spare key during their relationship.

When a police officer was dusting for fingerprints on the car, the woman received a phone call from Davis. She put the call on speaker phone and the officer began a conversation with Davis. He admitted to removing the decal, but denied puncturing the tire. He also admitted he had a spare key and had moved the vehicle.
