Jacob Henderson Lacey, 22, who works at Sack  Roofing, had been drinking and passed out on a couch early Saturday morning, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. When the woman tried to wake him up to move into the bedroom, Lacey reportedly punched the woman in the face. He then put his hands around her neck and began to strangle her. She punched him in the face in order to get away. She ran out of the apartment with her keys and phone. While she was on the phone with her mother, Lacey grabbed the woman’s keys and phone and threw them into the bushes outside the apartment. He then began to choke her again, the report indicated. He stopped and went back inside the apartment to go back to bed.

When police arrived, the woman was searching for her phone and keys in the bushes. She later became uncooperative with police and when they gave her a domestic violence package, a routine procedure, the woman threw it to the ground.

Lacey was arrested on a charge of domestic battery by strangulation. He vomited on himself when placed in the back of the patrol car.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $10,000 bond.
