Man arrested after allegedly dragging wife back through bedroom window

A 30-year-old Wildwood man was arrested after he allegedly got into a fight with his wife Tuesday morning and pulled her back through a bedroom window after she tried to escape him.

Robert Roy Rogers was arrested by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies following the altercation at a residence on York Street in Wildwood.

Rogers and his wife got into an argument, according to the arrest report. She attempted to leave, but he “barricaded” her in the bedroom, the arrest report indicated. She then attempted to leave through a bedroom window and he tried to pull her back through the window leaving injury marks.

He is facing charges of domestic battery and false imprisonment. He was booked without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
