Man arrested after allegedly snatching cash from drawer at thrift store in Wildwood

A 25-year-old man who allegedly snatched cash at a Wildwood thrift store was arrested on a charge of theft on Monday.

Wildwood police were called at 10:20 a.m. to Pat’s Treasures at 1010 Main St. after a man stole $31 out of the cash drawer and fled on a bicycle.

The man was described as “skinny” and wearing “sweatpants with socks over his pants,” according to an arrest report.

An officer spotted Tyler James Featherly at the intersection of Signature Drive and State Road 44. A $20 bill, two $5 bills and a $1 bill were discovered in the pocket of his sweatpants.

Pat’s Treasures in Wildwood

A check revealed Featherly had been convicted of theft in 2011 and 2012.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $2,000 bond.
