Man arrested after altercation at Spruce Creek South

A 26-year-old man was arrested after an altercation at a home in Spruce Creek South.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called at 10 p.m. Thursday to a home on SE 97th Avenue.

Cory Cronin, 26, of Ocklawaha, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery after witnesses said he grabbed a woman by the arm and pushed her to the ground and then fought with another man who fled the scene. Cronin also damaged a television and a door, according to the incident report.

He was booked at the Marion County Jail.
