Man arrested on charge of possession of methamphetamine at Michael’s at Rolling Acres Plaza

A 29-year-old Summerfield man is facing a charge of possession of methamphetamine following his arrest in the parking lot of Michael’s craft store at Rolling Acres Plaza.

A Lady Lake police officer spotted a car in the parking lot after hours on Sunday. When the officer approached the car, the driver appeared to be concealing something. A search turned up needles, digital scales and methamphetamine.

The driver of the vehicle, Joseph Michael Trapp, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia and booked at the Lake County Jail. He was released after posting $3,000 bond.
