Cleve Edmond Hardwick, 57, was spotted Sunday morning outside Hair & Nail Creations on Main Street, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. Hardwick had been banned from the property.

When the officer approached Hardwick, he refused to obey the officer’s commands and struck the officer. Hardwick intentionally damaged a rear window radar antenna mount, according to the arrest report. Hardwick said he caused the damage because he has been arrested too many times this year and it was his way of “getting back.”

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on charges of trespassing, battery, criminal mischief and resisting a law enforcement officer. Bond was set at $13,000.
