Man arrested after investigation of drug activity at Circle K service station in Wildwood

A man was arrested after an investigation of drug activity at a Circle K service station in Wildwood.

A Sumter County sheriff’s deputy went to the service station at 1001 S. Main St. early Monday where three men had reportedly been smoking methamphetamine on a picnic table on the side of the building. The men reportedly fled the area. One of the men had been riding a bicycle with a blue lunchbox attached to the back.

The deputy spotted the man on the bicycle, identified as 32-year-old Timothy Paul La Roo of Wildwood. He was found to be in possession of marijuana and methamphetamine.

He was arrested on charges of drug possession and marijuana possession and was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $3,000.
