A 22-year-old man was jailed on $5,000 bond after a struggle with his live-in girlfriend over a bottle of Xanax.
Kirk Nicholas Knopek was arrested on a charge of domestic battery Friday night at the Rolling Acres Apartments. He had been arguing with his girlfriend over the pills, when he sat on top of her on the couch and forcefully tried to retrieve the bottle of Xanax which she had concealed in her bra, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. They have been living together for about two years and have a six-month-old baby together, the arrest report indicated.
He was booked at the Lake County Jail.
