A 26-year-old man was arrested twice within a six-hour period Monday, when he was caught two times driving a vehicle on a suspended license.
Dustin Paul Coufal of Summerfield had been driving a 1999 black Chevy Camaro at 73 miles per hour about 5:30 p.m. westbound on State Road 44, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. When the deputy asked for Coufal’s license, Coufal said it was suspended. He was arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He posted bond and was released at 10:13 p.m.
At 10:56 p.m., Coufal was spotted driving the same Camaro on U.S. 301.
He was arrested on a second charge of driving while license suspended and booked for a second time at the Sumter County Detention Center.
He posted bond for a second time and was released at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday.
