A sex offender has taken up temporary residence in the Village of Virginia Trace.
Derrick Kehoe, 48, has registered a temporary address at 985 Caribou Way, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Kehoe was convicted in 1988 in Salem, Mass. of indecent assault and battery on a child.
He has previously listed a Villages address.
On July 17, 2011, he was arrested in Falmouth, Mass. Law enforcement had been called to a suspicious incident and arrested Kehoe for failure to register as a sex offender. At that time, he was living in The Villages.
