Man facing felony charge after allegedly stealing $7 door latch at Ace Hardware

A 23-year-old Wildwood man is facing a felony theft charge after allegedly stealing a $7 door latch from an Ace Hardware store.

Edward Dontrell Calhoun was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $5,000 bond following his arrest Wednesday by Wildwood police.

He had allegedly taken the door latch from the Ace Hardware on Shopping Center Drive in Wildwood. He is also a suspect in a retail theft case at Dollar General in Wildwood.

He has two prior theft arrests, making this one a felony.
