Man flees scene of an accident involving school bus in Hillsborough County

A man fled the scene of an accident involving a school bus Friday afternoon in Hillsborough County.

The driver of a 2014 Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on State Road 574 near Gallagher Road with passenger Joseph Flint, 45, of Mango who suffered minor injuries.

Anna Mundell, 64, of Mulberry had been driving a school bus eastbound on SR-574, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver tried overtaking the school bus, but collided with the rear of the bus and both vehicles came to rest on the shoulder of the roadway, the report stated.

Mundell and her passenger Katrina Cumley, 34, of Plant City had no injuries, according to the report.

Anyone with information regarding the unidentified driver, is asked to contact the FHP at (813) 632-4020.
