A man with a history of drug arrests was jailed after a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon near the Village of Glenbrook entrance.
A Sumter County sheriff’s deputy spotted 21-year-old Michael Aaron Conklin of Oxford not wearing a seatbelt while driving a vehicle on Buena Vista Boulevard near Talley Ridge Drive. During a traffic stop, the deputy spotted a multi-colored glass pipe between the driver’s seat and center console. The pipe field tested for the presence of marijuana.
Conklin was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $500 bond.
Conklin has previously been arrested on drug charges and for violating his probation.
