Man killed in single-vehicle crash on Florida Turnpike in Lake County

A 48-year-old man died as the result of a single-vehicle crash Tuesday on the Florida Turnpike in Lake County.

Robert Bussart of Chuluota had been at the wheel of a 1998 Chevy Blazer at 12:25 p.m. southbound on the Florida Turnpike at Mile Marker 275 when his vehicle drifted onto the grass shoulder, he overcorrected, and the left side of the Blazer sideswiped a guardrail, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. Bussart later died at South Lake Hospital in Clermont. The crash remains under investigation.
