Man with marijuana cited after police initiate traffic stop near Boone Gate

A man driving a vehicle with an inoperable headlight was cited for marijuana possession after a traffic stop Sunday night near the Boone Gate on the Historic Side of The Villages.

Ricky Fisk, 34, of Belleview, had been driving a 2003 Toyota Avalon at about 9 p.m. Sunday when he was pulled over by a Lady Lake police officer.

As the officer approached the vehicle, the odor of marijuana was detected. Fisk immediately admitted he had marijuana in his pocket and in the car, according to an arrest report. In addition to marijuana, a glass pipe with burnt residue was discovered in the vehicle’s center console.

Fisk was issued a misdemeanor summons charging him with marijuana possession.

Lady Lake police arrested a man with a weapon last week near the Boone Gate.
