A 29-year-old Summerfield man was arrested Thursday morning when he was found to have marijuana stuffed into his sock.
Christopher Monroe Houser was turning from U.S. 301 onto County Road 466 at 6:15 a.m. when a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy noticed that Houser’s vehicle had an inoperable headlight.
A K-9 unit arrived on the scene of the traffic stop and the dog alerted on Houser’s vehicle, indicating the presence of drugs.
During a search, a bag containing two grams of marijuana was discovered in Houser’s sock.
He was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $1,000 bond.
