A 45-year-old man has been placed on six months probation on a disorderly conduct charge, but still faces charges in a Villages of Parkwood incident earlier this year.
Chad Michael Broy last month pleaded not guilty to the charge of disorderly conduct in Sumter County Court.
In addition to probation, he was ordered to perform 40 hours of community service.
At the time of his Aug. 1 arrest, Broy had been free on bond after a June 29 arrest in the Villages of Parkwood.
Broy had been arrested by Wildwood police on charges of battery, burglary and grand theft. Broy allegedly entered a woman’s home in the Villages of Parkwood, got into bed with her and told her she was beautiful multiple times, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. When the woman woke up, she ordered Broy out of the home and ran to her son’s bedroom where she called 911. Broy then went downstairs and took $190 in cash off the kitchen table before leaving the home, the report said. He was then found by police and taken into custody.
He continues to face charges of battery, burglary and grand theft in that case. A status conference in that case is set for Feb. 13.
Broy is being represented by criminal defense attorney Cary Rada.
