A 26-year-old Lady Lake man was sentenced to 29 days in jail after he attempted to steal a bottle of whiskey from Winn-Dixie on Bichara Boulevard in The Villages.
Justin Freeman was sentenced Monday after pleading no contest to a charge of petit theft in Lake County County.
Freeman had entered the store Sunday and attempted to take a bottle of Fireball whiskey, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. He was confronted by a store clerk.
Freeman has a lengthy criminal history. He was arrested last year after a fight with his girlfriend over the air conditioning. You can read about that arrest HERE
