Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded Monday afternoon to a residence located at 8216 SE 147th Place in Summerfield in reference to a shooting victim needing medical attention. When deputies arrived on scene, they found a white male victim suffering from gunshot wounds in a blue van parked outside the residence. The victim was immediately trauma-alerted to a local hospital, where he later died.
He has been identified as William Lolley, 26, of Oxford.
Lolley has an extensive criminal history. He was arrested last year in an alleged drugging and sexual assault of a woman. He claimed the sex was consensual.
Witnesses on the scene told deputies that the shooting occurred at a residence located at 13660 SE 80th Avenue, which is less than five minutes down the road. Lolley was driven to the secondary location 8216 SE 147th Place by witnesses after the shooting occurred. Deputies responded to the original incident location and secured the scene. MCSO Major Crimes detectives have interviewed subjects at both residences and MCSO evidence technicians also responded to process both scenes.
