Man tries to pass two bogus $100 bills at CVS Pharmacy in The Villages

A man reportedly tried to pass two bogus $100 bills this past week at a CVS Pharmacy in The Villages.

The man entered the CVS on Avenida Central on Tuesday and attempted to pay for two gift cards with a total value of $110 with a debit card, but it was declined, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

The man then presented the two phony $100 bills. The clerk thought the bills looked odd and summoned a manager who checked for a water mark which was not present.

The man then took the two $100 bills and left the CVS.
