Johnny Joaguin Roldan, 29, of Hernando, entered the store at about 5 p.m. He paid for groceries, but did not pay for the DVD which he had concealed, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

After he was stopped by a loss prevention officer and subsequently interviewed by a deputy, Roldan said he “had a lot on his mind” and knew he had made a mistake, the arrest report indicated.

Roldan indicated he had $400 in his pocket and could have easily paid for the DVD, the report noted. The deputy verified that Roldan did, indeed, have more than $400 in his pocket.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $500 bond.
