Margaret Eleanor Rossi

Margie Rossi, The Villages, FL, danced into heaven on January 21, 2016, relieving her of her pain.  Margie started tap dancing at the age of 4 and was cast as Shirley Temple in Norfolk, Virginia.  She continued to dance throughout her life, and if the music was playing, her toes were tapping and her feet were moving.  She attended Maury HS and after raising her two daughters, she received her BA degree in Accounting in 1988 and became a Federal Government Contract Specialist.  Margie was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph V. Rossi, CAPT USNR, and leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her two daughters, Kathie Dudley & Jack, Tina Rossi, her grandson Tony Jones & Ashley, two granddaughters, Jessi Dudley, Jackie Jo Ramputi & Greg, and two great grandsons, Jackson and Dylan Ramputi.  Margie was a retired Brownie/Girl Scout Troop Leader and gave leadership, love, and fun to so many young girls.  She received the Federal Government Women’s Program Coordinator Women of the Year recognition in the nineties.  She was an amazing cook, hostess, seamstress, piano player and a member of the Virginia Beach Shagger’s Hall of Fame and the National Living Legends of Shag Dancing. Margie was a beautiful, classy, dignified lady that knew how to have fun, all packed into a petite powerhouse little 5’1” frame and she always had a smile on her face. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 2 – 6 p.m. at VFW post 8083 in Belleview, FL honoring the remarkable and multi-talented woman that she was.  Flowers and condolences may be sent to 2708 Benavides Dr., The Villages, FL, 32162.
