Margaret L. ‘Peggy’ Burdorf

Margaret L. “Peggy” Burdorf, 71, of Lady Lake, FL, went on to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 1. Peggy was born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 13, 1945 to Charles and Elta Hays.

An accomplished musician, she would go on to receive a Bachelors Degree in music education from Carnegie Mellon University. Devoting most of her life to praising Jesus Christ, Peggy made it her priority to share her love and knowledge of both music and Jesus to the children of her community.

After teaching public school in Pittsburgh, Peggy would move with her family to Leesburg, FL where she went on to teach piano, violin and cello both within her church and in the private sector.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Pilcher Burdorf, her two sons Donald and Eric, grandson Brooks and sisters Barbara and Elta.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 10 a.m. to Noon, followed by a chapel service at Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburg, FL.
