Marilyn Anne Mitchell

Marilyn Anne Mitchell, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away December 16, 2014 in The Villages.

She was born on August 11, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Wythe and Florence (Lauff) Hedrick.
Married to Ron Mitchell for 20 years, she is survived by Ron; her sister, Allison Lendman; two daughters, Stephanie Hermes, and Sara (Matt) Karlson; four step-children; fourteen grandchildren and step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one, son Scott Hermes.
Visitation will be held at McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling, IL on Sunday, December 21st from 3:00-7:00pm. Funeral mass will be Monday, December 22nd at Sacred Heart Church in Sterling at 10:00am. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Tampico, IL.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
