Marjean Elston Rowley, born September 5, 1929, crossed over peacefully on April 9, 2017. Marjean went home to be with the Lord. Marjean was proceeded in death by her husband of 68 years, Norman Rowley. She was a mother of four children: Son, Gregg Rowley of Venice, Florida, Son, Scott Rowley of Fruitland Park, Florida, Daughter, Teresa Jones of Monroe, North Carolina and Son, Troy Rowley of St. Petersburg, Florida. She was a grandmother of four grandchildren, and great grandmother of 6 great grandchildren. Marjean is proceeded in death by her two older brothers Frank and Bobby Elston. She is survived by her twin sister, Martine Truitt of Fruitland Park, Florida. She was a wonderful home maker and a friend to all. Her spirit is one who connected with all she came into contact with. She was a true treasure on this earth and blessed more lives than could ever be counted. She always put others before herself and never asked for help because she was always helping someone else.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 14 at 2 p.m with visitation one hour prior from 1 to 2 p.m at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Street North, St. Petersburg. Interment will be at Memorial Park, St. Petersburg.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages Florida. Their help and compassion was truly remarkable, as well as the nurses of the critical care unit 2nd floor, Leesburg Regional Medical Center.
