Mark Conklin, 62, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Friday, March 10, 2017.
Born in Bryan, Texas he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Ellen (McLaughlin) Conklin.
Mark was a graduate of Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ. He was an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration. Mark retired from the Chicago Midway International Airport after 34 years of service. He came to The Villages with his wife Julie from Bolingbrook, IL in 2014. He enjoyed golf, scuba diving, hiking, cruising and photography.
Mark leaves his wife, Julie Ann Conklin; step-sons; Kyle Kukuk and his wife Sarah of Bolingbrook, IL; Kory Kukuk of Woodridge, IL; grandsons, Nathan Kukuk, Zachary Nathan Kukuk; brother, Gerard Conklin of San Diego, CA; and sister, Michelle Mehan-Conklin and wife Kim of Hudson, FL.
The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mark’s memory may be made directly to a charity or organization of your choice.
